In January, we gave you a behind-the-scenes look at the fun times we had shooting our first-ever AgencySparks video, and last week, we shared a few captured moments from our Speed Dating Valentine's Day breakfast event that we organized for our agency partners and a select group of distinguished marketers.
These were just two elements of a complete multi-channel marketing campaign we called The Perfect Match, which intentionally coincided with one of the most important holidays of the year for a self-proclaimed matchmaking company: Valentine's Day.
Before we made sparks fly in person at our event, we sent a "sweet" direct mail piece to a special list of friends, clients, and prospects who we thought might appreciate a snack, and, perhaps, some help with finding their perfect specialist marketing agency match.
We shipped custom-printed matchboxes filled with heart-shaped cinnamon imperial candies and a personalized note, ensuring they'd arrive before Valentine's Day.
Recipients were delighted with the sweet surprise, and responded accordingly:
The direct mail piece drove marketers to this landing page: MakeSomeSparks.com, which houses the AgencySparks commercial – the coup de grâce of The Perfect Match campaign – and prompts visitors to fill out a contact form.
The results so far are encouraging, as most of our direct mail recipients have found their way to our landing page, and/or have told us how much they enjoyed the “love notes” and candies.
