Hands down, The Weather Channel’s “Twitter Tornado” campaign, when Vert challenged Twitter users to “fuel” a live-streamed, real-time tornado inside The Weather Channel’s office, creating quite the frenzy with each Twitter mention of #TornadoWeek. In addition to the impressive social stats, #TornadoWeek garnered 10 million earned impressions through media coverage from The Huffington Post, Mashable, ABC News, The TODAY Show and others.
